KOWIN 캐나다지역 선임관 지명선출대회 (4월 13일 금요일 저녁 7시 한국대사관)

안녕하세요 코윈 오타와 지부 회원 여러분

세계화 시대를 맞아 전 세계에서 활약하고 있는 한민족 여성인적자원을 개발ㆍ활용하고, 한국내 여성 및 세계 각 지역 한민족 여성의 연대를 강화하고자 2001년 여성부 출범과 함께 발족한 세계한민족여성네트워크 (KOWIN : Korean Women's International Network)는 전세계 북미, 중남미, 아주 등 전세계 27 개 지역에 29 명의 선임 지역담당관을 두어 한민족 여성 네트위크를 통한 차세대 여성리더 양성과 지역간 세대간 정보교류를 증진시키는 데 힘쓰고 있습니다.

현재 과테말라 , 남아프리카공화국, 뉴질랜드, 대만, 독립국가연합, 독일, 말레이시아, 멕시코, 미국 동부, 미국 서부 , 베트남, 브라질, 스페인, 싱가폴, 아르헨티나, 영국, 이집트, 이탈리아, 인도, 인도네시아, 일본 (2명), 중국, 캐나다, 태국, 파라과이, 프랑스, 필리핀, 호주에 각 1명 씩 선출되어 활동하고 있는 선임 지역담당관은 2년의 임기를 가지며 1회의 연임이 인정됩니다.

올 해 2007년 7월로써 제 2기 선임 지역담당관의 임기가 종료됨에 따라 캐나다 지역 차기 선임 지역담당관을 지명하기위하여 오타와 지부 및 캐나다 전지역 KOWIN 회원들과 함께 아래와 같이 회원 총회를 가지고자 합니다. 회원 여러분의 적극적인 참여와 지지가 KOWIN 캐나다지역의 발전에 가장 큰 원동력임을 상기하시고 꼭 참석할 수 있도록 힘써주시기 바랍니다. 선출과정에는 참석인원과 함께 1 0인 이상의 회원 서명부를 제출하도록 하고 있습니다.

Dear KOWIN Ottawa Chapter Members,

Korean Women's International Network was established in 2001 for the purpose of binding the Korean Women all around the world in one and constructing the network of Korean Women abroad to raise national competitiveness and spread gender mainstreaming. This year is the 7th anniversary since Korean Women's International Network had launched in 2001.

As we look at the activity of the KOWIN, it appointed 29 Regional Focal Points of Korean Women's International Network for 27 regions such as Guatemala, South America, New Zealand, Taiwan, Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), Germany, Malaysia, Mexico, United States south, United States north, Vietnam, Brazil, Spain, Singapore, Argentina, United Kingdom, Egypt, Italy, India, Indonesia, Japan, China, Canada, Thailand, Paraguay, France, The Philippines, and Australia where many Koreans live in to systemize the Korean Women's International Network and also to boost the cooperation and interchange of Korean Women all around the world. The regional focal points of KOWIN have 2 year period and are limited to two terms in office until their successors have been nominated.

Since the regional focal points’ term expires in July 2007, the nomination meeting will take place in all regions. There will be nominated candidates for the regional focal point of Canada and the KOWIN members who residing in Canada may vote at the nomination meeting that will take place on Friday, April 13th, from 7pm to 9pm at the Korean embassy in Ottawa. We would like to encourage all the members to attend the meeting as it will be an opportunity for you to bring forward feedback of your expectations and prospects on the future of KOWIN Canada.
