한•캐수교 50주년 기념 ‘e-Reporter’ 모집

- "민간외교관“ 선발 -

2013년은 한국과 캐나다의 수교 50주년이 되는 뜻 깊은 해입니다.

한•캐수교 50주년을 기념하기 위해 대사관은 캐나다와 함께하는 한국문화, 예술, 교육, 생활, 인물 등 캐나다 내에서 뿌리내린 한국의 다양한 스토리를 취재, 발굴하여 블로그를 통해 많은 사람들에게 “Korean-Canadian“ 이야기를 재미있게 전달할 수 있는 50명의 e-Reporter를 모집합니다.

참여하시는 e-Reporter분들은 평소 관심 있던 다양한 한•캐관련 분야와 캐나다내에 숨겨져 있었던 한국과 캐나다의 이야기를 취재하고, 민간외교관이자 한국의 대변인으로 전반적인 한캐관계 발전에 기여할 수 있을 것입니다.

또한 한캐관계 및 Global Issues에 대한 시각 과 국제관계에 대한 통찰력을 키울 수 있으며 블로그 운영을 통해 효율적인 메시지 전달을 위한 기획력을 개발할 수 있는 좋은 기회가 될 것입니다.

국제관계 및 한국-캐나다 관계에 평소 관심이 있고 남다른 심미안과 커뮤니케이션 능력이 출중한 스토리텔러들의 많은 지원 바랍니다.

• 현재 캐나다에 거주하는 모든 네티즌

• 블로그 및 SNS를 적극적으로 활용하시는 분 우선 고려

• 커뮤니케이션에 능하며 글쓰기에 자신있는 스토리텔러

• 온라인 미디어를 잘 이해하고 활용할 수 있는 분

• 캐나다-한국 양국교류 및 국제관계에 높은 관심이 많은 분

활동내용

• “캐나다에 뿌리내린 한국“ 관련이슈를 기획, 캐나다내에서 한국관련 숨은 이야기 발굴 및 컨텐츠 제작. 예) 지역박물관/도서관 취재, 지역신문에 난 한국이야기, 최초의 한국인 (이민사), 캐나다의 배울 점 발굴 등 Storytelling 형식

• 주요 분야 : Kpop, 음식, 영화, 패션, 전통문화 (한옥, 온돌, 놀이 등), 스포츠, 문학(동화), 역사, 경제, 정치, 외교, 여행, 쇼핑, 제품 및 브랜드, 사회제도 등

• 주캐나다 공관 주최 혹은 관련 행사와 인물을 취재하고 컨텐츠 작성

• 모든 컨텐츠는 영어 또는 불어로 게재

활동기간

• 2012년 10월 ~ 2014년 1월 (약 15개월 간)

Recruiting “e-Reporters" for the Korea-Canada 50th Anniversary Blog

In anticipation of the 50th Anniversary of Diplomatic Relations between Korea-Canada in 2013, the Embassy of the Republic of Korea to Canada is recruiting 50 social media experts, who will be known as e-Reporters, across Canada to be online voices of Korea-Canada relations.

Successful candidates will use their preferred method of social media in an effort to promote and inform the general public of any historical, cultural, artistic, educational, economic, and political developments happening in their own local area pertaining to Korea-Canada relations. In addition, successful candidates will research and report various traces of Korea-Canada relations of the past, present, and the future.

The year 2013 is an important year for Korea and Canada. And as e-Reporters of this significant celebration, you will engage in public diplomacy, hence "civil diplomats", and develop your insights into various aspects of Korea-Canada relations, Global Issues at large, as well as your online communication skills.

Your interests in international relations, Korea-Canada relations, combined with your great storytelling and social media aptitude will be valuable assets in the selection of successful candidates.

Number of e-Reporters

• 50

• No restrictions on region, education, age, sex

Qualifications

• All residing in Canada

• Preference will be given to those who already have an active blog or SNS account)

• Apt at communications and creative-writing

• Proficient social media skills

• Diverse interests in Korea-Canada relations

Activities

• Discover and report hidden Korea-related stories in Canada. Ex) Contents found in local libraries and museums, Korea-related stories in local newspapers, stories of Korean immigrants, interesting Canadian cultural phenomenon, etc to be told in an interesting, storytelling format

• Example categories : Kpop, food, films, fashion, traditional culture, sports, literature, history, economics, politics, diplomacy, tourism, shopping, products and brands, social policies and etc.

• Conduct research, interviews on various traces of Korea-Canada relations. To be compiled and published through the blog

• Blog about various developments happening in their own local area pertaining to Korea-Canada relations

• All contents are to posted either in English or French

Activity Period

• October 2012 ~ January 2014 (Approximately 15 Months)

• Results will be announced on Tuesday October 16 2012 by email and public announcement
